keys...

we got the keys today for the house!!!! i will have to take a picture of it soon, it's a nice house, i am excited. the things i think i am most excited for are....the pantry! it's very large! and the garbage disposal, we haven't had one of those for a while, i think we had one in our first apartment but that's it! also cabinets under the sinks in bathrooms...storage in the house! and it has a loft. wow, i guess i am excited about the whole entire thing.

now i have a question...what is your best toy containing solution? i think the kids' rooms are a bit smaller, not teeny but it might just look small because there's nothing in them...sometimes that happens. but i am feeling like we might need to revamp our toy containing especially because avery is having her family birthday party tomorrow and it sounds as if everyone is being super generous to this tiny girl!

so tell me how you've found that works for you to organize the toys and books...if you've found a good way:)

avery had her two year check today...fit as a fiddle. she only had to have one shot (happy day!) and she weighs below the 3%, at 21 lbs and 4 oz. but she is tall for her age group apparently or at least average, 50-75% at 34.5 inches. and of course ethan wanted to be weighed as well and he still weighs 32 lbs :) bunch of light weights over here. i have no doubt that our friend little blake will follow suit...yikes, my countdown says i only have 76 days to go. that is frankly frightening...and amazing. it's gone SUPER fast! so now here's to packing! yay!

Congrats! For our toys I bought one of those shelves at target that has about 10 different bins that sit on them. This has helped us keep the boys toys super organized(cars go in one tub, blocks in another, super heroes in another). It's been perfect because I HATE searching for missing parts to toys! I also bought some shelves from walmart that sit on the ground in the closet that we set bigger toys on. Let me know when I can come over and help!

Congrats on getting keys; that's super exciting! I've been happy for you with all of your posts lately, but I've been silently reading. Good job with all you're doing. We have a lot of smaller toys like cars, my little ponies, tinker toys, toy food, so I bought a bunch of bins with lids at the dollar store and they go on the shelves in the closets.

Another thing... When we got the keys to our house we loaded the kids in the car to go check it out again. We were all ready to go when Mace realized he couldn't find the key anywhere! We looked for about 45 minutes and finally found it under one of the kids car seats! Memories...

I am so excited for you! The bad part of me is jealous too.... A real house with a pantry! You can't get much better than that. :)

Isn't it the little things hat make us happy?! I LOVE my new pantry and it will be a sad day when we have to leave.

Here are my storage tips:
Books are up high on a shelf mainly because the boys rip them to shreds down low. Easy to keep them organized. Toys i keep in the entertainment center. I reorgnaize constantly. When there are too many to fit, time to get rid of some.
Hope it helps.

How exciting! Pantries are the best!

My favorite thing about Elodie's bed is that it has 3 HUGE storage drawers underneath it. One for Barbies, one for books, and the third is completely empty. I also went to Ikea for storage bins to match her room and that is nice. And I bought those cubbies from target that you put different colored canvas totes in each. One for more books, the other for littlest bet shops, my little pony's, and polly pockets. Addysen doesn't really have enough toys to feel her own storage bins and once she is old enough to care we are planning to buy the same bed and cubbies for Addysen's room so they match and she gets the same storage. Can't wait to see your new house! You guys deserve it! Let me know when I can help..babysitting, packing, unloading, cleaning. Whatever!
