one of the joys of motherhood...

i say that a little bit sarcastically, although i love taking care of my children...when they get sick, i just get a little bit grossed out. i mean throw up sick, other sick i can deal with, but throw up sick, i feel nauseated as well! ethan has no fever or anything, just threw up on the way home from church in his car seat. and i'm not talking about a little bit of throw up, it was pretty prolific. and it smelled...like nasty! okay so i thought maybe he'd had too many fruit snacks or something in nursery that day (because i could see them ALL, in all thier undigested nasty glory, they were red by the way), and then we'd be done with that. so he had some applesauce for lunch and took a nap. then he got up and a few minutes after he got up...threw up again, all over me. it was very applesaucy, in both texture and color...and smell--like rancid apples. pretty gross. so he's been drinking gatorade and sprite (alternately) and he hasn't eaten anything else, mainly because he hasn't said he's hungry and i've been too scared to ask because if he's hungry and he eats....will he throw up again? and what is this stomach bug with no fever or anything? like i said, a joy of being a mother, but it's all part of the wonderful package deal (no sarcasm in that comment, just love:))

I DON'T do throw up. I warned Mike fair and square when we got married. He has to take a sick day and stay home. How pathetic is that?!

Funny story when I got hired as a teacher's aide a few years ago I told them straight up I DON'T do throw up. So the few times when a child would throw up, I would leave. Poor teacher. But they knew that when they hired me :)

I guess at least you were lucky you didn't have to clean it up at the church?! Okay enough kind of making me nauseas even thinking about it.

I'm so sorry! That's awful! I may jinx myself by saying this, but my kids have never thrown up. I mean, maybe a little when they have a coughing attack or something like that but never because they were sick. I guess I'm just lucky. I'm sure that by pointing that out the powers that be will send it all my way soon though. After all, Isaac and Ethan were in nursery together yesterday!

Ryanna and Owen both just got over the same thing!!! Out of the blue puking everywhere. Owen got it first. I have washed so many sheets and towels due to this illness, but it's over now. Missed you tonight, it was so fun!
