a selling things blog...

hello there blog readership...which might include all five of you if you are all on the computer today:)

i have started a blog to sell the things i make. mostly i just want to get the word out, you are under no obligation to buy anything by reading this and you don't even have to tell anyone about the blog, but take a look at it just to see if you can see anything i need to change to make it better. i know the pictures aren't great right now and there is only one item on there but...baby steps people! anyway, here it is

All Sewn Up

take a look, let me know what you think:)

Jen-
Wow,I love the new blog. I love the owl at the top. I love that you're putting yourself out there and venturing into the world of at-home-business.
One suggestion- include a picture of someone actually wearing the nursing cover (maybe just show the person from the shoulders down or something like that). That way people can get a better idea of proportion.
Also I really like your fabric choices- especially #4 and #5. You're so lucky- you have a vast valley of fabric stores to choose from. Pickings are pretty meager here.
Good luck!

I love the look of the blog, but I can't read the text very well.

I agree with Tina suggestion with the picture. And maybe having it hang up on a wall, so there aren't any other distracting colors. . .I would also take individual pictures of each fabric and number them that way. That way you can see them up close and not so many next to each other. . . less cluttered if you will!

I wish I could sew! I love your nursing covers. Good luck.

I love it! I really like the number three and eight fabric. I still want to learn sometime. Who knows when we'll get around to it. Maybe over the holiday breaks or something. FYI- I did go to my class the other day, but I just brought Luke and we made it to the last 10 minutes of class. I figured if I dropped him off, I would miss all of class. Next week will be normal though. :)

Oh wait, next week won't be normal. JJ's out of school. I hope he can come over too and play with Ethan for a bit.

I really like it. I agree with the suggestions, especially separating out the fabrics. You are very talented. I'm excited to see other items up for sale. If I ever decide to have a #3, I'm definitely investing in one of those covers! I already posted a link on my blog, though I can't guarantee that will develop much business since my blog lacks a ton of devoted readership. ;*( Good luck!
